The National Wildlife Federation, Monarch Watch, Xerces Society for Invertebrates, and the Oklahoma City Zoo hosted this session to demonstrate tagging techniques for placing a BlūMorpho transmitter on a monarch butterfly.
Our training is designed for research purposes. If you are planning, for the first time, to tag a monarch with a radio tag, please get in touch with the Project Monarch Collaboration or any of its partners to ensure appropriate methods, research permits, and animal-welfare practices are followed.
